It’s been almost 20 years ago, but I remember it like it was yesterday. As the Director of the Children’s Choir at church, I was approached by a young girl who wanted to audition to sing in the Christmas musical that year. She assured me she would learn her part and come to every practice. And she did! Dressed in her white lamb costume, she sang proudly on the night of the performance. Tonight as I listened to Laura perform her own original music for the first time in front of a few family members and friends, I was reminded how so often ordinary days turn into major turning points in our lives when we look back on them. You see, little did I know that little girl would grow up to be my daughter-in-law and mother to my grandkids. How thankful I am that Laura is not only an amazing songwriter and singer; she is a great wife and Mom who loves God and desires to please Him.
