It all started in January of last year. There were some things God put on my heart and I couldn’t seem to shake them. I’m not sure if it was because my life was so full already and I didn’t need to add ‘one more thing.’ Or maybe I just thought the promptings would go away. Or maybe it wasn’t ‘really’ the prompting of God’s Spirit speaking to my heart. Maybe I wasn’t even sure where to begin. Whatever it was, here I am one year later and I am still feeling prompted. And I don’t want to ignore God’s prompting again….
What I couldn’t seem to shake was a passage I read in Habakkuk 2:2 “Then the Lord answered me and said, ‘Write down the vision and inscribe it clearly on tablets, so that the one who reads it may run with it.” I couldn’t shake the responsibility that I have to pass on my faith to others. My faith in God is not because my parents told me, not because the church told me, but because I’ve experienced His goodness and mercy myself. God has been compelling me to help others learn to recognize significant moments where He has reached out to them and help them discover how those moments can become breakthroughs to living an inspired life.
It’s time. Time for me to follow that prompting. Time for me to write it down so that anyone who reads it may run with it and share their own stories of God’s faithfulness. For it is when we share from our own experiences that we can say old things in new ways. Our stories can remind others of what really matters in this life. So it is with great anticipation that I am embarking on this adventure. I hope you’ll join me along the way! Stay tuned for more details!
How about you? It’s the start of a New Year. Maybe it’s your time to follow that prompting that you haven’t been able to shake.
